Warsaw is in conflict with the EU over some basic democratic values. Poland is moving towards the “de-Europeanisation” of its domestic and foreign policy. Further alienation might just be the largest risk for the EU. Mutually beneficial solutions require vocal advocates both in Poland and the EU to be successful.
