Hanga showed social commitment at an early age. After working as a volunteer in child care and first studies at University she started her professional life as a Hungarian language and literature teacher in a disadvantaged community. Her journalistic experience began with an anonymous blog covering social ills. Currently she is working as an editor at Átlátszó Erdély. Structural oppression, racism and social inequality are journalistic focus and characterize her research at the Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj. Her reports about Roma were awarded with the Dr. Szegő Tamás-award and the journalism prize “from below”.
