Mirek Tóda (born 1980) is a foreign editor and reporter at the Slovak daily newspaper Denník N, where he has been working since it was created in January 2015. He is also editor-in-chief of the official newspaper of the GLOBSEC conference, which is the biggest security conference in Central Europe. Before the launch of Denník N, Mirek spent ten years covering international conflicts and major events for the biggest Slovak broadsheet Denník SME/Daily SME. As a reporter, he mainly covered post-Soviet Europe and the Middle East. Mirek primarily specialises in Russia and Ukraine. He has worked on assignment in these countries numerous times since the Orange Revolution, and now writes about the war in Donbass after the so-called ceasefire. He also writes about the refugee crisis and human rights violations. Mirek studied political science and journalism at Comenius University in Bratislava.
