Laura Ștefănuț lives and works as a freelance journalist in Bucharest. In 2019 she was a Milena Jesenská Visiting Fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) in Vienna. She conducted her investigation into the garment industry as a 2015 fellow on the Balkan Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence programme where her article has been awarded.
