Dieter Segert was Professor for transformation processes in Central, Eastern and Southern-Europe at the University of Vienna. His research focuses on the transformation and comparison of political systems in East and Central Europe, political history and the heritage of socialism in Europe, as well as the development of parties across Eastern Europe.
