Simone Brunner works as a freelance journalist in Vienna with a focus on Eastern Europe, always on the go to the next trip, with intermediate stations as an editor at “Wirtschaftsblatt” and “Gas Monopoly”, a documentary about the European gas supply. Most recently, she has reported mainly from Ukraine and Russia, among others for Profil, Der Standard and DIE ZEIT. She is especially interested in brave, extraordinary people and their stories.
