MAZ (Mreža antifašistkinja Zagreb) is the online magazine of the network of anti-fascists of Zagreb, which deals with socio-political issues in Croatian language. The network understands the production of knowledge as a politics of memory, of resistance against the revisionist cleansing of historical antifascism of emancipatory content and the consistent struggle for economic and political equality, but also the exploration of systemic conditions of fascism, i.e. its political economy and its social content. The initiative sees the potential of anti-fascism in bringing together left-wing progressive initiatives in the struggle for a more just society. Some of the magazine’s reports on social issues have been awarded the journalism prize “from below”, a prize for respectful reporting on poverty supported by ERSTE Foundation.
