Arbeit & Wirtschaft is an economic, social and sociopolitical magazine that appears in Austria and was founded in 1923. It treats its topics from the employees\’ point of view: ten times a year in print with special issues, once or twice a month on A&W online with additional online focuses. The A&W blog complements online and print magazines and has developed into one of the most important political blogs in German-speaking countries. Arbeit & Wirtschaft brings positions and counter-positions, arguments and counter-arguments into discussion and thus makes contributions to political debates. Some of the magazine’s reports on social issues have been awarded the journalism prize “from below”, a prize for respectful reporting on poverty supported by ERSTE Foundation.
