Matea Grgurinović has a master’s degree in English and Russian and works as a journalist and translator. In her journalistic work she mostly focuses on prisons, social and economic issues, poverty and migration. In 2017 she was awarded the Journalism Award “from below” (called “Lighthouse” in Croatia) for respectful poverty coverage for her article about homelessness in Croatia.
